Canada Student Visa

India continues to send a steady stream of students to Canada. While admittance to Top Universities in Canada continues to necessitate a stellar academic record, authority to consider is granted through procedures for a Study Permit. You will obtain a study permit before entering Canada if you plan to pursue academic, professional, or professional training at a college, school, or other educational establishment. When students arrive in Canada, they are awarded a study permit. A study permit is a document issued by Canadian migration authorities that serves as authorisation for foreign understudies to study in Canada. Students from all around the world can participate in this programme.

Applying for a study permit

A prospective student may apply for a study permit whenever he or she satisfies the eligibility requirements and has the necessary paperwork. It is critical to apply for a study visa as soon as you get your Letter of Acceptance. Study permit processing timeframes vary, and applicants may experience delays during peak periods, such as the summer.

Monetary assistance

Applicants seeking a study visa in Canada must demonstrate that they have the funds to cover the first year’s tuition expenses. They must also have enough money to maintain themselves and any accompanying family members on a year-to-year basis.

A combination of the following can be used to demonstrate financial resources:

  • If money has been moved to Canada, Canadian bank account statements in the applicant's name are required.

After application approved

If an application is accepted, the prospective student will get the following benefits:
  • A letter of introduction stating that the approval has been granted. The research permission is not included in this letter. When the prospective student arrives in Canada, he or she must produce the Letter of Introduction to an immigration authority. The student's study permit may then be issued by an immigration authority.

  • If he or she is a citizen of a nation that requires an eTA, an electronic travel authorization (eTA). The eTA is noted on the Letter of Introduction in such circumstances.

Regardless of the date indicated on the study permit, it will expire 90 days after graduation. International grads must update their status with IRCC within 90 days after graduation or risk losing their residency status in Canada.
